Leprechaun Spotting: Library

Jerome the leprechaun gnome hopped into the cozy library, his pointy green hat nearly brushing the doorway. The scent of old books and the soft murmur of pages being turned welcomed him as he looked around with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Jerome had been diligently studying the art of brewing the perfect rainbow potion in his magical garden, and he decided it was time for a well-deserved break.

Leprechaun Spotting: Jerome can really rocket, man!

Jerome the Leprechaun gnome was not your average gnome. While most gnomes were content tending to their gardens or guarding their homes, Jerome had an insatiable curiosity for the world beyond his forest. So when he heard about a presentation of the Elton John movie “Rocketman” happening nearby, he knew he had to go.

Finding a cozy seat near the front, Jerome settled in and watched with rapt attention as the movie began. From Elton’s humble beginnings to his rise to stardom, Jerome was captivated by every moment. The music, the costumes, the drama – it was all like nothing he had ever seen before.

As the movie reached its climax, with Elton belting out his hits in a dazzling display of talent, Jerome couldn’t help but feel a swell of emotion. He may have been a gnome from a far-off forest, but in that moment, he felt a connection to the music and the magic of the silver screen.

When the credits rolled and the lights came up, Jerome wiped a tear from his eye and rose to his feet, joining in the thunderous applause that filled the theater. As he made his way back through the town and into the forest, Jerome couldn’t shake the feeling of awe and inspiration that the movie had left him with.

And though he may have been a tiny gnome in a big world, Jerome knew that he would carry the spirit of Elton John as he could really Rock-It-Man.

Leprechaun Spotting: Bidding Farewell/Outdoor Programs

Jerome has sauntered into the office of Jess Port, the Land Sea Assistant Director, his tiny footsteps barely making a sound on the carpeted floor. He found Jess amidst a flurry of papers and boxes, preparing for her departure from the college.

Jerome greeted her with a cheerful grin, his emerald eyes twinkling with mischief, producing a small pouch from the depths of his coat. The contents? A nest of glimmering gold coins!

He shared his appreciation for all the adventures she shared with the campus community and wished her well on her future endeavors. With a twirl of his coat and a tip of his hat, Jerome bid Jess farewell, his departure leaving behind a bittersweet sense of nostalgia.

Leprechaun Spotting: BUS 220

One sunny day, as the students of BUS 220: Principles of Marketing eagerly gathered for their big day, they were in for a surprise. Unbeknownst to them, Jerome the Leprechaun gnome had decided to pay a visit to their class.

This particular term promised to be extraordinary, for the students were to present their marketing projects to a distinguished panel of industry experts. To their surprise, one of the panelists turned out to be Jerome, the Leprechaun gnome known for his mystical encounters and marketing prowess.

As the presentations unfolded, Jerome listened intently, his keen eyes twinkling with curiosity. Each group presented their marketing strategies, from innovative social media campaigns to traditional print advertisements. Jerome, though pint-sized, had a big presence as he scribbled notes on a tiny parchment with a quill pen. Jerome provided insightful feedback, drawing parallels between the students’ presentations and his own experiences.

With a tip of his hat and a sparkle in his eye, Jerome bid farewell to the class, leaving the students inspired and motivated. The Principles of Marketing class had been touched by a bit of leprechaun magic that day.

Leprechaun Spotting: Welles Dining Hall

Jerome the leprechaun gnome, with his emerald green hat and mischievous twinkle in his eye, made his way up the stairs from Student Development. Today, his path led him to the bustling dining hall, where Miss Flo and the rest of the Parkhurst team worked tirelessly to feed hungry students and staff.

As Jerome entered the hall, the aroma of breakfast filled the air. Miss Flo spotted him immediately, her eyes lighting up with delight.

As Jerome savored the smells, he couldn’t help but feel grateful for the warm hospitality of Miss Flo and the dining hall staff. It’s moments like these that make his visit to campus so special, filled with good food, laughter, and friendship.

With a satisfied sigh, Jerome finished his visit and bid farewell to Miss Flo and the rest of the staff, promising to return soon for another visit. As he disappeared out the door, his laughter echoed through the hall, leaving behind a trail of luck and cheer for all who crossed his path.

Leprechaun Spotting: Student Development

In the enchanting office of Student Development, where each day brings new challenges and triumphs, today, there’s a unique character who adds a touch of magic to the routine – Jerome, the Leprechaun working diligently at the front desk.

Jerome is not your average front desk attendant. From assisting students with a sprinkle of luck to organizing paperwork with a magical flick of his wrist, Jerome’s presence is a reminder that even the most routine tasks can be extraordinary when approached with a hint of enchantment.

When it comes to tackling student concerns, Jerome believes in a bit of “Shamrock and Roll” strategy. With a playful spirit, he rolls out solutions with a side of puns, turning even the most serious issues into opportunities for laughter and growth. His positivity and a quick cookie might just bring a stroke of luck your way!

The Student Development S.A.D. Lamp!

When the seasons change, so can your feelings.

As the temperature changes and daylight shifts, you may find yourself feeling sluggish, moody, or disinterested in your usual interests.

While this can be just a fleeting case of the “winter blues,” for some it’s a sign of seasonal affective disorder (sometimes abbreviated SAD). It is not unusual for students to feel this way, and may come as a surprise if you are accustomed to living in a sunnier and warmer climate, but you are not alone.

SAD lamps can (literally) brighten your day! SAD lamps like this one are used in light therapy and work by mimicking the intensity and effects of natural sunlight. So, if you want to literally brighten your day, take a seat, turn on the SAD lamp and hang out for a while!
