Throwback Thursday: Last year’s Student Development Halloween Costume!
Stop by tomorrow to find out what this year’s theme is!

Student Development is coordinating transportation for students leaving for Winter Break! We’re offering rides for departures from the Kalamazoo airport, Kalamazoo train station, and Grand Rapids airport.
If you expect to want transportation, please fill out the forms as soon as possible, even if you have not booked your travel yet. This helps us get a sense of need, and begin planning group pickup times. Please note, if you are flying into Grand Rapids, you may have wait times while at the airport due to shuttle availability.
When we confirm that we can get you a ride, we will send you a link to pay to reserve your spot: $10 for a ride from Grand Rapids and $5 for a ride in Kalamazoo. This helps us cover some of the cost of reserving vehicles and drivers.
Form: Break Transportation Request
For questions or concerns, please contact Haley Mangette, Assistant Director of Student Engagement, Haley.Mangette@kzoo.edu.
Do you have unused meal swipes you’d like to share? Or are you in need of extra support with meals?
If you answered “yes” to either question, please remember that Hungry Hornets– Meal Swipe program, as part of the Basic Needs program at K, allows students to donate meal swipes they won’t use to a meal bank. These donated meals, in turn, are provided to students who may need assistance ensuring adequate nutrition. To donate or to request meals, please complete this online form.
The Hungry Hornets program also has a refrigerator stocked with “to go” meals – these meals are made fresh each day and utilize food otherwise destined for compost. These meals are designed to support students who can benefit from some help meeting daily nutrition needs and are available in the fridge in Hicks 110.

There are so many great things to love about Kalamazoo College – the people, the ideas, the opportunities and so much more!
Stop by the Stu Dev office Feb. 7-14 and add your heart to the community wall to let us know why you love K.

The K CARE Team is a collaborative, multidisciplinary group that works together to identify, assess, and support community members who are struggling or are engaging in concerning behaviors. Our goal is to intervene, assist, and provide comprehensive support to students experiencing challenges and/or exhibiting threatening or concerning behaviors.
Anyone can make a referral to the CARE team about a student. This can be done by either emailing Care@kzoo.edu or reaching out to any of the CARE team members (found at the bottom of K CARE Team).
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns about a student.
