Friday, November 8, 2024 is First-Generation College Celebration (FGCC) – a national day which recognizes the important role of first-generation college students in higher education. K has several events happening as part of this celebration day.
All Day – Profiles of several current first-gen K students – visit the CMAC website starting Nov. 8th to learn more
1:00 – 2:00 pm – Webinar (ULC 118 – open to all faculty and staff) – Addressing the Hidden Curriculum on Campus: Supporting First-Generation and Low-Income Students as They Navigate College, presented by Dr. Rachel Gable
4:00 pm – 5:30 pm – FGCC Reception (Hicks Lower Atrium)
FREE appetizers, refreshments, and cake along with good vibes and great company. Reception and refreshments will begin at 4:00 pm, brief remarks at 4:30 pm.
