Kalamazoo College Council of Student Representatives (KCCSR)

KCCSR members address issues important to the student body and provide student voice to many of the College’s decision-making process. As a group, they have a variety of different experiences, backgrounds, and involvements on campus. KCCSR is an important avenue for engaging students in the work of the College through their participation on campus committees, task forces, and other working groups.

Blake Filkins

President

Hi! My name is Blake Filkins, and I’m the Student Body President here at K. In this role, I work closely with Student Government (KCCSR), administration, and faculty and staff to strengthen communication between students and campus leadership. A large part of my work focuses on advocating for student concerns and helping turn student feedback into meaningful change. I’m a senior studying Psychology and Spanish, and outside of campus life, I love spending time with my family and my two dogs, Hutch and Bo.

Zoe Wilson

Parlimentarian

Hello! My name is Zoe Wilson, and I’m the Parliamentarian for the Kalamazoo College Council of Student Representatives! My role involves maintaining accountability, updating our constitution, and working with other KCCSR members to bolster experiences here at K. I am a senior studying Psychology and Critical Ethnic Studies with a concentration in Environmental Studies. Outside of school I love to read, be outside in any capacity, and do creative projects!

Avery Davis

Vice President of Campus Life

Hello! My name is Avery Davis, and I am the Vice President of Campus Life! My role involves representing students concerns and interests, coordinating campus activities, and assisting in the development of policies that impact student life. I am a sophomore studying Biology with a minor in Studio Art. Outside of campus life I love camping and traveling with friends.

Toby Peters

Hi! My name is Toby Peters. I am the Vice President of Finance for the Kalamazoo College Council of Student Representatives. My role involves overseeing the budget for KCCSR and approving spending. I am a sophomore studying Mathematics with a minor in History. In my free time I enjoy playing piano, flute, or singing.

Annslee Ware

Vice President of Marketing

Hi! I am Annslee Ware, the Vice President of Marketing for the Kalamazoo College Council of Student Representatives (KCCSR). This role includes designing promotional materials for KCCSR’s events, activities, and initiatives, promoting those functions, engaging with the student body to maintain awareness, gathering feedback from the student body, and so much more! I am a current junior, double-majoring in psychology and business, and a part of the women’s lacrosse team.
